Los Angeles-based Highland Film Group has picked up international rights to Tim Sutton’s fictional music biopic Taurus.

It premiered at the Berlinale in February and is next playing Tribeca Film Festival.

Colson Baker, Maddie Hasson, Scoot McNairy, Megan Fox and Ruby Rose star in the film that features original music by Machine Gun Kelly.

Baker plays a rising music star struggling with fame, addiction, writing music and dealing with the industry. It is produced by Jib Polhemus and Rivulet Media’s Rob Paris and Mike Witherill Executive producers are Sutton, Baker and Gul Karakiz.

RLJE Films has recently acquired North American rights to the film and is planning a theatrical release later this year.
