Based on the true story of ‘The Flying Bandit’, who successfully got away with 59 bank and jewelry heists, career criminal Robert Whiteman (Josh Duhamel) makes an audacious escape from a U.S. prison and crosses the border into Canada where he assumes a new identity. After falling in love with Andrea (Elisha Cuthbert), a woman he can’t provide for, he commits elaborate bank robberies, flipping through different disguises each time. When Robert turns to lifetime gangster Tommy (Mel Gibson) for a bigger investment, he’s being dragged into the biggest heist jobs... and into the direct sight of the brilliant Detective Snydes (Nestor Carbonell), who sets off a massive cross-country manhunt to put Canada’s most wanted bank robber behind bars.
